The Reimu Hakurei class frigate is a multi-role stealth frigate built in Byzantium by Constantinople Shipyards for the Langley Navy. Based on a commercial frigate design by Constantinople Shipyards, it represents the most numerous ship class in the Langley Navy, with twenty-six ships currently in service, six under construction, and six planned.

The Flight II Hakurei class frigates will be equipped with the S-500F-F air defense system. A first batch of six Flight II ships, starting with HMS Fujiwara no Mokou (FF-45), were ordered in 2017; the Langley Navy plans to order an additional twelve ships over the next 3-5 years to replace its Excalibur class corvettes. All Flight I ships in service will be upgraded to Flight II standard during that same period.

Behind the ScenesEdit

The Reimu Hakurei class frigate is based primarily on the Singaporean Formidable class, with features taken from the French La Fayette class (the basis for the Formidable class).

The members of the Hakurei class are all named after various characters from the Touhou Project series of computer games.
